GARCIA, HARRINGTON AND LIONS….OH MY!

In a script written only for the sports losers of the world, Sunday’s PGA Championship featured 3 of the bigger losers in Detroit Lions recent memory.

And though a “Harrington” did actually prevail in Detroit for once, it was a Harrington so far removed from Joey, that he dares not speak his name.

My first thought when I saw Ben Curtis sporting Lions gear on Thursday was:

“What’s wrong with you?”

Only a mental midget would dare dawn those colors and even think of sniffing a victory on a Sunday afternoon.

And though Ben went into the 4th round with the lead, it was only a matter of time before the curse of the Honolulu blue and Silver came up and bit him.

Staring down the par 3 17th, Curtis hit a high 4 iron that bounced on the green and landed in the treacherous Oakland Hills rough. It was an unlucky bounce but a bounce Lions fans have seen too much.

Garcia on the other hand, well, he came into Detroit as a loser and will leave a loser yet again. I’m not ready to call him Padraig’s bitch yet, but at the Ryder Cup, if Padraig needs a cup of coffee, I would think he would clap and Sergio would come running.

At the very least, the other Garcia in this town gave fans something else to think about. Yes, Carmela DeCesare.

Come on, you didn’t think I could go a whole post without a reference to women or boobies.
