George Steinbrenner dies at 80

New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner has died at the age of 80. Steinbrenner suffered a massive heart attack and was hospitalized sometime late Monday night, early Tuesday morning in Tampa, Florida.
One of the most powerful owners in sports, Steinbrenner has owned the Yankees for 27 years. In that time period, New York has won 7 World Series titles.
Although he relinquished day-to-day operations of the team to his two sons, Steinbrenner remained involved with the team to his death.
