German luger breaks tooth biting his Olympic medal
Look, I know that Olympians feel the need to do everything 110%, but just because that photographer wanted a cool photo-op doesn’t mean you have to go full bore
A sheepish Moeller, 28, explained: “The photographers wanted us to bite into our medals at the presentation ceremony. And a corner of my front tooth broke off.”
“It wasn’t too bad and it didn’t hurt,” added Moeller, saying that it had happened before to him at home.
“But it is annoying when you can’t smile as you normally do. And because I want to have nice pictures and happy memories of my Olympic Games, I went to the dentist to get it repaired,” he said.
I’m sure David Moeller is a great German athlete and because he is a luger, one hell of a risk-taker. But I wouldn’t exactly be confusing him for a rocket scientist anytime soon.
In fairness though, its not like biting Olympic medals is a rarity. Look at the rest of these buffoons. Let’s hope for their sake those medals are lead-free.
