Giants WR Steve Smith likes books
Sports Illustrated provides some fun little features; one of which is The Pop Culture Grid, which asks athletes some totally benign questions, such as “What is your favorite author?” And Giants WR Steve Smith answered, um, interestingly.

I don’t want to kill Steve Smith too bad for this since he’s a fellow USC Trojan and is currently on my fantasy team (I’m not sure what it says about me that I value either of those things), but seriously? I have no doubt that Jesus would have been a phenomenal author, assuming he learned to write since he was a carpenter and, based upon my experience with carpenters, the most impressive writing they do is on an invoice (which fits well with the Jewishness). But thinking the Bible is Jesus’s writing is just silly. It’s like an unauthorized biography. I bet Jesus would read it and go, “Wow, that is totally a misquote. I said ‘A man should never lay with another man unless they exchange high fives immediately afterwards.’” Jesus may have had a unique set of rules, but they were definitely within reason.
