Gruesome photos of Johnny Hoogerland’s crash at the Tour de France
A. Isaac Dutch cyclist Johnny Hoogerland was on the receiving end of a wayward TV car during yesterday’s Tour de France. The result wasn’t pretty for Hoogerland as he was forced into a grassy field protected by some barbed wire.

The crash didn’t knock Hoogerland out of the race though as he pushed on and finished about 15 minutes behind the pack. He did, however, receive enough points to hold on to the red polka-dotted jersey as the race’s best climber. Extremely impressive given the extent of the injuries. And by that I mean, “holy sh-t, look at these gruesome photos of the barbed wire cutting into his leg”. Not for the faint of heart.
