HS player’s incredible touchdown run gets called back for no helmet

As a way of protecting football player’s from suffering catastrophic head injuries, amateur leagues as well as the NFL have made it a point to blow a play dead if the ball carrier’s helmet comes off.

Unfortunately, the refs in this high school game on Friday were a bit slow to blow the whistle. So although this kid scored arguably the touchdown of his life, it was called back after the fact.

Personally, I blame Jim Joyce.
