Yesterday, we highlighted a brutal check on a goalie in the OHL playoffs. The two teams, the Barrie Colts and the Windsor Spitfires are playing each other for the championship and it appears their rivalry has now spilled over into the stands.

A group of Barrie Colts cheerleaders were “scared for their lives” during Sunday’s Ontario Hockey League playoff game which saw Windsor fans allegedly threaten, sexually taunt and hurl objects at the dance team.

“They pushed it to the limit, because we were coming out of the arena after the game and we waited until the fans were mostly gone, but we had one fan that just took it to the next level. He had tied together a bunch of towels like a noose and had threatened to kill us and hang us.”

Who knew that the Windsor Spitfires arena bore an eerie resemblance to Oakland’s black hole. Listen, if you want to harass other fans, be my guest. But I’ll be damned if you threaten poor, innocent, hot and scantily dressed women. That’s where I draw the line.

And the noose thing, yea, that’s just a bit overboard.
