Ines Sainz harassed by Jets at practice
Ines Sainz, the hot reporter for Mexico’s TV Azteca, got more than she bargained for at Jets practice Saturday. She was there to do an “in-depth” interview with quarterback Mark Sanchez but instead, had balls thrown in her direction by the coaching staff and was cat-called in the locker room.
The NFL and the Jets organization are looking into the matter.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Sunday that the league and the Jets began looking into the situation when they were made aware of it Saturday night.
Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum called Joanne Gerstner, a board member of the Association for Women in Sports Media, on Sunday to discuss the matter. The two organizations were working to schedule an educational and awareness session with the team, according to Jets spokesman Bruce Speight.
Sainz later tweeted a response to the incident and a picture of what she wore. Using my high school Spanish skills I’ve come up with:
Algunos medios aseguran que iba inapropiadamente vestida con los Jets! Exactamente estaba asi!
(Some media were claiming I was inappropriately dressed for the Jets. Dressed exactly like this!)

We obviously understand that Ines Sainz isn’t exactly covering the X’s and O’s of the 3-4 defense when she goes to these events. Not exactly Mel Kiper at the NFL draft or anything. But is it too much to ask to refrain throwing balls in her direction?
It appears the “Hard Knocks” life has gotten to some of these players heads.
