A. Isaac The internet is up in arms over a picture of an injured Jamaal Charles promoting fantasy football for NFL.com. If you recall, last Sunday against Detroit, Charles lunged for a first down and tore his ACL in the process. To make matters worse, the injury also caused him to crash into Lions mascot, Roary.
Here’s the pic, which has since been taken down.
Naturally, many in the media are disgusted at the depiction.

I echo many of the same sentiments shared in the quotes above. I’m not necessarily shocked that the NFL simply doesn’t care about its players or chooses to depict them in this way, I’m just surprised it was right up in my face.
