In 2012, the Mayans predicted Isiah Thomas would go back to the Knicks and thus begin the downward spiral for the rest of the world. Oh, they didn’t? Really. Well they should have. Shockingly, James Dolan in his infinite wisdom has asked Isiah to come back to New York. Back to the place where he once sexually harassed an employee and cost the organization millions in legal fees and bad PR.

Amazing.

According to a source close to the former Knicks president, Thomas and Garden chairman James Dolan have had numerous discussions about a position in the organization, but Thomas has been reluctant to accept the job offer.
“Isiah is very close with Jim Dolan but he’s told me that he’s not ready to jump back into the NBA just yet,” said the source, who was with Thomas on Friday at the Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Springfield, Mass. “There’s this perception out there that Isiah is desperate to get back, but that’s false. I think it will eventually happen but just not now.”

Reading the NY Daily News suggests it’s a matter of “when” and not “if” Zeke makes his way to the Big Apple. Just last week, things looked bleak for the Hall of Famer as he was spotted in a Detroit area bargain outlet store signing autographs. It was there Thomas spoke about being unemployed and going back to school to enrich himself.

Like many of Thomas’ post-retirement endeavors, that appears to be short-lived.

What'd you think of this?
