Jerome Simpson does the most Cincinnati Bengals thing ever
You remember Jerome Simpson don’t you? The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver who did this:
Simpson was indicted on Thursday for trafficking marijuana—a punishment that could land him up five years in jail.
Quite a misstep there Jerome. But, as you’ve shown us before, you do have a knack for improvising, so uh, yea, get to work.
Simpson has been under investigation since September, when agents from California tracked a package shipped to the receiver’s home in northern Kentucky. They said it contained 2 ½ pounds of marijuana. No charges were filed at that time.
Simpson’s girlfriend accepted the package at the home, said Michelle Gregory, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Justice. Teammate Anthony Collins was visiting Simpson’s home at the time, but was cleared of any involvement.
Wait, wait, wait—you got weed delivered to your house? There have been a number of dumb crimes committed by Cincinnati Bengals players over the years but this one, yea, this one might just be the dumbest. Hell of a feat there Jerome.
