Jim Nantz on How I Met Your Mother

There’s been a myriad of celebrities and sports figures on How I Met Your Mother in the past, but none quite as funny as Jim Nantz was last night.

If you missed the episode, it’s a must watch. Even if you aren’t a fan of the show, you’ll find this one particularly entertaining.

As Barney Stinson (played by Neil Patrick Harris) goes for a perfect week (7 random hookups in 7 days), Nantz sits down with him in a mock interview and discusses the happenings of the past days. A perfect week is not so subtly tied into a perfect game/no-hitter in baseball. The sports references are beyond hilarious. Nantz even questions if Barney has taken performance enhancing drugs to complete his feat.

Here’s a cut up of some of the lines Nantz drops during the show. I particularly enjoyed his reaction to the “jinx”.
