Jimmie Johnson named 2009 AP male athlete of the year

Let me venture a guess here. You have no idea who Jimmie Johnson is. The only Jimmie Johnson you know is that guy that coached the Cowboys and is an analyst for Fox.
And truthfully, it takes as much athletic ability to sit down in a chair and analyze the NFL as it does to sit in a car and change gears.
But not according to the Associated Press who named Johnson the 2009 Male Athlete of the Year
Johnson, the first driver in NASCAR history to win four consecutive titles, earned mainstream recognition Monday when he was honored as the Male Athlete of the Year by members of The Associated Press.
Johnson received 42 votes from editors at U.S. newspapers which are members of the AP. Tennis star Roger Federer (30 votes) and Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt (29) were the only other athletes with totals in the double- digits.
Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous this is, here are three videos for you to compare.
One is Roger Federer miraculously hitting a shot between his legs, the other is Usain Bolt breaking the world record in the 100m, and finally, Jimmie Johnson making left turns.
I know, tough call right.
