Jordan Jefferson 285x214 Arrest warrant issued for LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson

An arrest warrant has been issued for LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson for his involvement in a parking lot brawl last week. His teammate, Josh Johns, will also be charged with battery according to a statement by Baton Rouge police.

The Baton Rouge Police Department has secured arrest warrants for , JORDAN JEFFERSON and JOSHUA JOHNS for the felony charge of SECOND DEGREE BATTERY.

We have contacted their Attorney Nathan Fisher and LSU Coach Les Miles and requested that these two individuals turn themselves in. They are in the process of making those arrangements

After news initially broke about the incident, police downplayed Jefferson’s involvement saying no charges would be filed. But as more details and more witnesses came forward, it appeared that Jefferson played a much larger role in the melee than originally thought.

LSU opens up its season next Saturday, September 3rd, against Oregon. Given this news, it’s a good bet coach Les Miles will probably sit Jefferson out. (Update: Joe Schad reports that both players have been suspended indefinitely)
