Keith Ballard takes out teammate Tomas Vokoun

Rank this as one of the all-time dumbest moves in sports. It may be one thing to take a shot at an opponent, but hitting your own damn teammate?

In the head no less.

Ballard’s attempt to hit the crossbar with his stick misses by at least two or three feet(and that’s being generous). That’s some fancy stick work. I can’t imagine what would happen if he was stuck in a shootout. Some little girl in the 10th row might get a puck in the head.

And while this was entirely an accident, I really wonder if you can get suspended for hitting a teammate like that.

If not that, can somebody at least punch him in the nuts in the locker room….sans a cup of course.
