Kid goes from football mascot to starting quarterback

We’ve heard of waterboy to linebacker but team mascot to quarterback? That’s new. Meet Trent Bauer of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, Kentucky who has gone from mascot to ball boy to starting quarterback. And Bauer’s darn good too, leading his squad to a come from behind victory two weeks ago against rival Henry Clay. A victory that featured him throwing two 4th-quarter touchdowns.

I don’t know the in’s and out’s of social decorum in Kentucky, but if that boy was at West Canaan, he’d have the captain of the cheerleaders in whip cream.
