Lakers win NBA Championship

The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a horrendous shooting night to defeat the Boston Celtics in Game 7 for their 16th NBA championship.
Not surprisingly, Kobe Bryant was named MVP averaging over 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists a game. All this despite a Game 7 where he shot 6-24 from the field and uncharacteristically missed 4 free throws.
It was certainly not the prettiest game. At times, it more or less resembled a sloppy high school game. But when push came to shove, the Lakers outscored the Celtics by 8 in the final quarter to win their 2nd championship in a row.
