The defending Super Bowl champions have had a disappointing year. There were few who predicted that they wouldn’t make the playoffs.

But heading into the last game of the season, the Steelers need some help from some AFC foes.

And according to linebacker LaMarr Woodley, they won’t get it.

“All of them lay down,” Woodley said Wednesday. “No one wants to see Pittsburgh in it. That’s just how it is. Everybody knows we’re a dangerous team once we get into the playoffs, no matter how we played the whole year. Once we get into the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers is a playoff team.”

I can’t say I’d blame the Patriots or the Bengals for resting players this weekend knowing full well the outcome of their games mean nothing. Unlike say, the Colts who pissed off their fans by benching starters last week.

And if I were Woodley, I’d probably shut my mouth. The Steelers have been extremely average this year and frankly, I don’t see that changing at all if they made the playoffs.

2-4 against division opponents and losses to lowly Kansas City and Oakland. Yea LaMarr, people are really scared of your Steelers.

What'd you think of this?
