Larry Fitzgerald continues the Madden curse legacy

When Troy Polamulu went down the first game of the year with a knee injury, everybody looked to the Madden curse as the culprit.

But Larry Fitzgerald, who was also pictured with Polamalu on the cover must have been immune because he avoided injury the entire year.

That is, until last night.

Fitzgerald went down with a sprained knee and is awaiting the results of a MRI today to see how much damage was done.

He did however return to the game after his injury. But his 2 catches for 22 yards was his lowest output in two years.

And although the team says the MRI is completely precautionary, given the Madden jinx, let’s hope Fitzgerald sake he isn’t for season ending leg amputation tomorrow.
