Former Chiefs RB Larry Johnson sued for battery

Larry Johnson is being sued for battery after allegedly beating a man on May 7th in Miami. The man, Jon Graney, claims his injuries during the altercation were severe.

The suit goes on to say that Graney was “viciously struck … numerous times with a closed fist” and “beaten and brutalized by Johnson.” The suit also claims Johnson chased Graney down the street after kicking him while he was on the ground.

The suit clams Graney suffered three herniated discs, a torn rotator cuff, and post-traumatic pain in his back, shoulder and wrist. He is suing Johnson for damages in excess of $15,000.

In the police report, Graney is quoted as saying “This [expletive] is going down. He needs to learn a lesson. It’s going to cost this prick.” It appears the expletive was a racial remark, something Graney claims is untrue.

Moreover, Johnson and his lawyers want their day in court and are not willing to settle. Should be interesting to see if it ever gets that far.
