LeBron James’ mom arrested for assault

LeBron James is certainly making a lot of news outside of basketball in the last few days. Episode 1 of his cartoon, “The LeBrons” hit the internet yesterday and earlier this week, he joined the Fenway Sports Group as a minority stakeholder in one of England’s most popular soccer teams, Liverpool.
This time though, LeBron himself is not the headline but rather it’s his mother, Gloria James. Miami police arrested her for misdemeanor assault at the Fountainbleau hotel sometime late Wednesday night into early Thursday. No other details were given but James was released early this morning.
