LeBron James and adviser Maverick Carter took their talents to CNN last night. And they used their time with host Soledad O’Brien to let everyone know they thought race played a factor in the backlash from “The Decision”.
“Color” me shocked…
“I think so at times. It’s always, you know, a race factor,” said James, according to a CNN transcript (at bottom of link).
Carter said he thought race “definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure.”
I have to say folks, I’m a bit worried. My LeBron naughty and nice list the other day could have been construed as racist. So LeBron, I offer you my deepest apologies sir.
Allow me to extend an olive branch your way. Perhaps I can issue said apology at a press conference from my local Boys and Girls club. I’m thinking “The Mea Culpa” seems like a fitting title.
Perhaps Jim Gray could host? Would you allow him to remove his lips from your ass for just a few minutes LeBron? That’s all I need.
