Lindsey Vonn wins gold; wears entirely too much clothing

In a downhill race that featured some spectacular crashes, Lindsey Vonn was able to hold on and win the gold despite an injured shin. Of course, most of us knew the results much earlier in the day because NBC is apparently refusing to show some events live. Can’t say I blame them considering how much money they are losing by the minute by showing these games.

Anyways, Vonn cried as she won gold and NBC was there to show it to the world, exploiting every single aspect of the human condition. And Vonn is just eating up her new celebrity status. She was able to avoid the SI jinx with her sexy cover a few weeks back and now you’ll see her plastered in every commercial for the Olympics the next two weeks. However, seeing as how she’s quite attractive, I’m not sure there will be too many complaints. Oh yea, the girl who won silver, Julia Mancuso, she’s a hottie too. There’s at least one positive from this year’s Olympics.
