On the morning after they evened their record at .500 for the first time since Opening Day, the Tigers announced some of this season’s most sobering news: Magglio Ordoñez, their cleanup hitter and the defending American League batting champion, is headed to the disabled list.
Dammit!
Right when things were looking real bright for the Tigers, their best hitter goes to the DL.
