There have been a fair amount of strange stories from this year’s World Cup. None however, have reached this level of bizarre.
Apparently, before the games started, an African witch doctor placed a curse on the English soccer team. Or at least, that’s what Ed Prynn, the Archdruid of Cornwall told everyone. But fear not English fans, he’s there to save the day. By his own account, the enlightening ritual lifted the curse.
“I have lifted the curse put on the England team by a witch doctor in Africa,” he said.
“I felt it was my time to help England so I went to a stone hexagon with a hole in the middle and took the curse with me mentally from the east as I passed through the stone to face the west.
If you feel compelled to dig more into this story, Mr. Edward Prynn has his own website. Unfortunately, my dealer is a little late on my weekly supply of shrooms so I can’t fully comprehend the complexity of his mysticism.
