Man shot over Texas-Nebraska argument

tntexas nebraska Man shot over Texas Nebraska argument

I’ve definitely had my fair share of angry banter with opposing fans. One time, at a Thanksgiving game, a Green Bay Packers fan who was about 70 years old (and who had too many fingers of whiskey) tried fighting me. I proceeded to beat her over the head with her cane.

Serves her right.

And while beating someone is somewhat justifiable, shooting someone is not.

Police in North Carolina are saying a Marine was accidentally shot to death when he got into an argument with a friend over the Texas-Nebraska football game.

Police say 21-year-old Johnathan Clinton Rodriguez was shot early Sunday after banter escalated with a fellow Marine at a home in Havelock, a town near the coast. Authorities say Rodriguez got into a scuffle with 23-year-old Lionel Loya, who had a gun that went off during the struggle.

I’m a little lost here. Did he start a fight with a friend who pulled a gun out on him or did he see the gun and then try to fight him?

Either way, this really doesn’t paint our armed forces in a good light when two Marines shoot each other over a sporting event.

Keep the guns holstered until you get oversea boys.

What'd you think of this?
