MARINERS GM TAKES ADVICE FROM FANS

On June 24th, Jack Zduriencik had an online chat with some Seattle fans via MLB.com….

One of the questions asked/posed to him was

booxa: We need more LH bats. Have you looked at Ryan Langerhans, currently in the Nats’ organization?

Jack_Zduriencik: Good suggestion.

Well, lo and behold, 4 days later, the Mariners did just that…acquiring Langerhans from the Nationals for Mike Morse.

Maybe we’re on to a new trend here in baseball. Scouting by chat?

I’m sure its not the first time…I wonder if booxa gets some royalties from this?
