Michael Jordan’s high school sweetheart is upset that the love letter got released
Laquetta Robinson, Michael Jordan’s high school sweetheart from 30 years ago, is angry that the love letter he wrote her went viral last week. Robinson claims that she has no idea how it got out of her possession and that a family member may be profiting from the ordeal.
“I see my letter and I’m thinking, what in the world?” Laquetta Robinson asked.
She says her high school sweetheart, Jordan, wrote the letter to her nearly 30 years ago. She says she thought the letter was in her possession.
“That was between him and me,” she said. “Not anyone else. It wasn’t for anyone else to have knowledge of it. That’s something he wrote to me, at that time, out of his heart.”
I want to feel bad for Laquetta here, I really do. But damn, you were knocking boots with arguably the greatest basketball player of all-time and you got damn near nothing to show for it. You lost a jersey, a love letter, maybe a used condom…who knows. You were sitting on a gold mine lady and yet, the sentimental value was so strong that you conveniently let it out of your sight for seven years? Dummy.
