Mike McQueary testifies that he saw something ‘extremely sexual in nature’
Assistant football coach Mike McQueary was called to the stand today in the preliminary hearing for two Penn State administrators who allegedly failed to act after hearing reports of Jerry Sandusky’s sexual abuse of children.
McQueary has wavered in his account of what occurred and today, under oath, he said the following: “I saw jerry with a young boy in the shower/that it was way over the lines and extremely sexual in nature.”
His testimony was live-tweeted by several people, including Sara Ganim of the Patriot-News and Pennlive.com. Reading through the graphic details, McQueary is very straightforward in his account saying in no uncertain terms that he believed the boy was being sodomized. He also told Joe Paterno of the incident and subsequently spoke to Tim Curley and Gary Schultz not long after.
McQueary is currently getting grilled in cross-examination about the specifics of what he saw. Follow that link above for on-time coverage.
