Mike Vick wants you to stop using that dogfighting app you’ve never heard of
Mike Vick has teamed up with the Humane Society to denounce an Android app called Dog wars. The app itself is just a virtual game that includes feeding and training your virtual dog against others. Nevertheless, it’s in such poor taste that Vick and the Humane Society felt the need to speak out against it.
“I’ve come to learn the hard way that dogfighting is a dead-end street,” Vick said in a statement posted on the Humane Society’s website. “Now, I am on the right side of this issue, and I think it’s important to send the smart message to kids, and not glorify this form of animal cruelty, even in an Android app.”
Surprisingly, the Android Market website has a customer rating and it’s at 4 stars currently with 859 reviews. Given the publicity this has received in the last few hours, it’s a wonder if Kage LLC., the creator, will even decide to further produce the game. As for Vick and the Humane Society, they’re fairly adamant that virtual dogfighting can indeed lead to real world dogfighting. Which of course begs the question–can my smokin hot pornstar girlfriend in Second Life eventually lead to nailing Sasha Grey in real life?
Hmm.
