MSU at Indiana Review

Thoughts

At what point does MSU start looking at the way their offense is run. Yesterday, the Spartans shot a respectable 46.7% from the field but the difference was the 19 turnovers.

The players look scared out there. They are scared to make an error for fear of getting pulled out of the game.

I am no basketball expert, but if your team plays scared, they wont play confidently. And that’s exactly what Goran Suton and others are looking like right now.

Is this a free-fall for MSU? Probably not, many people, including myself knew they were going to be losses. The more troubling thing is that this teams lacks an identity and for the first time in a long time, I don’t think the message that Izzo is sending is doing any good.

With more losses coming on the road, it will be interesting to see if Izzo shuffles the lineup. As of right now, if this team ends the season with 8/9 losses, you can mark it down as the worst coaching season of Tom Izzo’s career.
