MSU vs. Wisconsin

History

MSU leads the all-time series 26-19 including a 13-11 record in Madison. The Badgers have won 3 of the last 4 at Camp Randall.

When these teams last met in 2004, MSU upset then ranked #4 Wisconsin 49-14 in East Lansing. It was a devastating blow as Wisconsin lost their chances to win the BigTen.

In 2001, MSU marched into Camp Randall and fell behind early but rallied in the second half to win 42-28.

Rivalry?

-In basketball, these two powerhouses hate each other with a passion similar to UM-OSU. In football, past regimes in both Wisconsin and MSU did not play nice with each other. Barry Alvarez and Jonelle Smith in fact ran up the score every chance they could get.

-While MSU was getting beat badly in 1999, Bucky the Badger stole MSUs flag and began running around Camp Randal with it. What happened next is the stuff of legends.

Prediction

State is without 2 starting OL in Roland Martin and Kenny Shayne. Without them, MSU will have a tough time running the ball which has been their staple thus far this year. Can Brian Hoyer beat Wisconsin through the air? He has not shown enough consistency yet. Combine that with a tough road environment and it doesnt look that good for our Spartans.
