NASCAR’s Jack Roush is bloodied but survives plane crash

A. Isaac Senior Editor

NASCAR owner Jack Roush was seriously hurt in a plane crash yesterday. Roush, an avid pilot, was flying his Beechcraft Premier business jet at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin when things went haywire.

Some witnesses said the airplane’s approach speed seemed too low and its wings were rocking with increasing intensity as it neared the runway. Some reports called the incident a hard landing but the badly broken plane and injuries suggest ”crash” is a more accurate description. Roush, a longtime pilot and aviation buff was also injured in a 2002 crash in Alabama.

This horrific picture of Roush was taken as he exited the aircraft. Suffice to say that it appears it was more than just a hard landing.
