NBA League Pass will be free for first two weeks of the season

There’s been outrage among NBA fans the last few days after its League Pass jumped to $189 despite the shortened 66-game schedule. Now, it appears the NBA wants to assuage the anguish of its most die-hard viewers by offering a free preview for the first two weeks of the season.

According to their website, you’ll be able to watch games starting Dec. 26th until January 8th online or on TV, via your cable provider. They’ll also be offering another preview from Feb. 28 to Mar. 4th.

I recall there being a free preview last year, although, I do not believe it included watching games online. Either way, this is a rather lame Neville Chamberlain-like appeasement by the powers that be in the NBA front office. A front office that seems more concerned with nixing trades as opposed to taking care of the people that ultimately pay their bills.

What'd you think of this?
