Ndamukong Suh fined $20k for hit on Andy Dalton
Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was apparently fined $20,000 for his helmet-throwing tackle on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton on Friday. We say apparently because Suh tweeted this out to his followers an hour ago.
$20,000REALLY???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #NFL #BIGFAIL
Yea, the big fella isn’t happy. Given his past transgressions, the fine certainly wasn’t a surprise to many, but judging from Suh’s reaction, it was to him.
Here is the Dalton hit.
Last year, Suh was fined $15k for this “shove” on Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.
And in the preseason last year, he attempted to decapitate Jake Delhomme.
The Delhomme hit was egregious and probably necessitated a fine. The Cutler one, however, caused much debate as he was out of the pocket, and thus, became a “runner”.
All that said, Suh needs to know he’s now the target of NFL officials and anything even remotely borderline will grab their attention.
