Amazingly, the New Jersey Nets have won 7 games this year. Why is that amazing you might ask? Well, if you’ve ever watched them play, you’d question how a squad comprised of such NBA heavyweights as Courtney Lee, Keyon Dooling, and Yi Jianlian could even muster that win total. They are absolutely dreadful to watch and are at the bottom of nearly every major offensive category in the NBA.

So you can’t really blame Nets fan Chris Lisi of Middletown, N.J. for donning the paper bag over his head. Nets CEO Brett Yormark on the other hand, wasn’t too happy with the stunt and an argument ensued between him and Lisi with several media members looking on.

Yormark left his courtside seat at the IZOD Center late in the second half of New Jersey’s 99-89 loss to the Miami Heat. Yormark then doubled back toward the fan, identified by the New York Daily News as Chris Lisi of Middletown, N.J.

It was at that point that Yormark, Lisi and a friend of Lisi’s got into a shouting match, with reporters and photographers nearby.

Lisi told the Daily News that the CEO initiated the exchange by asking him why he had a bag on his head. Lisi’s response — “because the Nets are so good,” according to the paper. Yormark then snapped at him and walked off, Lisi told the Daily News.

Perhaps, instead of yelling at the fans, Yormark should be getting on his knees and thanking each and everyone of them for attending this disgrace. Given the actual numbers that show up to games night in/night out, trust me, he’d have plenty of time.
