Fantasy Football 214x214 NFL week 4 fantasy round up

Over the course of the NFL season, Guyism is here to give you weekly tips on who you should start, bench, or otherwise drop entirely from your fantasy team.

Also, in conjuction with FanDuel’s $50,000 NFL fantasy football championship, we’ll show you our star studded lineup for the week. While most of you are probably familiar with a regular rotisserie, keeper or even an auction league, FanDuel offers something a bit more unique.

Each week you’ll choose different players in a salary capped draft and pit them against your friends or even against others from around the country. If you enter in their tournament though, there’s a trip to Vegas on the line.

The contest consists of the first 10 weeks of the NFL season and you can play as many or as few of those weeks as you want to. Entry is $10. For each week of the first 10 weeks of the NFL season, one overall winner will come out on top (there are plenty of cash bonuses for the runner-ups, by the way). The overall winners for each of those 10 weeks are then headed on an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas, where they’ll have the chance to vie for $40,000 on Dec. 5th. Yep, on Dec. 5th, in one last league game, the 10 overall winners will square off. The winner pockets $25,000, second place gets $10,000 and third place $5,000. Not too shabby.

Here’s the lineup that’s getting me to Vegas. Feel pretty confident this week. Going heavy with some Green Bay players, because well, why not? Detroit hasn’t won there since 1991 and Aaron Rodgers tore the secondary apart last year.

QB Peyton Manning
RBs Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson
WRs DeSean Jackson, Greg Jennings, Blair White
TE Jermichael Finley
K Jason Hanson
D Cincinnati Bengals

Other fantasy things of note:

-Like we told you last week, hold onto Matthew Stafford and Reggie Bush. Both appear well ahead of schedule with their respective injuries and Stafford may even play as early as next week.
-Pierre Thomas will probably not play today as the Saints activated DeShawn Wynn this morning. If you’re a Thomas owner, we hope you already have Chris Ivory on your team. Otherwise, you’re probably screwed for the week.
-If Maurice Jones-Drew doesn’t perform today, you may want to consider shopping him to other teams
-Though Ryan Matthews has returned to the lineup, you may want to hang onto Mike Tolbert as insurance

What'd you think of this?
