The state of the economy is so bad that some poor schlub shelled out $25k for two tickets to the much ballyhooed Orlando-Miami game tonight.
It’s a little strange, you know, because the game isn’t even sold out yet. As of last night, several hundred tickets were still available according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Apparently, the Big Three can attract the heavy hitters but the average fan is content on staying home.
Here’s a brief snapshot of StubHub’s page. One person or ticket broker seems to be very fond of section 107. Seems like they might be out a few grand if this page looks exactly the same 7 hours from now. Maybe LeBron can buy them for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club.
