BREAKING: Peyton Manning out for the season
A. Isaac Peyton Manning is officially done for the 2011-2012 season according to Jim Irsay. WISH-TV in Indianapolis reports the Colts owner relayed the news to Super Bowl donors this morning.
Moments after the report broke, Irsay went on Twitter to clarify exactly what was said.
I didn’t say Peyton out 4season FOR SURE,keeping him on ActiveRoster n taking it month by month/Outside chance of return n December possible
Interesting to say the least and it appears, for all intents and purposes, that Manning’s season is done despite Irsay’s backtrack. So is Andrew Luck in the cards for the 2012 draft? Given the atrocious performance by Kerry Collins and Curtis Painter yesterday (18-40, 144 yards), I’d say there’s no doubt.
