Playmate involved in UCF locker room shoot last year, arrested with gun at airport
Shanna McLaughlin, the Playboy Playmate who famously posed in a UCF locker room last year, was arrested for trying to sneak a gun onto a plane. The incident occurred Monday at Orlando International Airport as McLaughlin tried to board a plane to Los Angeles.
She put the duffle through an X-ray machine at a security checkpoint, the report states, and a Transportation Security Administration operator saw the gun and alerted police.
When confronted, police said the 26-year-old Playboy Miss July 2010 claimed the bag was hers, and that the gun belonged to her boyfriend and she didn’t know it was inside.
McLaughlin was jailed on a charge of carrying a firearm in a place prohibited by law. The gun, a .45 caliber Colt revolver loaded with six hollow-point bullets, was confiscated.
Ah, the ol’ my boyfriend put the gun inside my bag excuse. Yea, I’m sure that’s not all he put inside your bag honey. Anyways, if you recall last year, UCF football coach George O’Leary allowed McLaughlin to do a provocative shoot inside the locker room. According to him, he was unaware of the nature of the shoot.
I approved the magazine,” O’Leary told a Sentinel reporter after practice ended Saturday. “The guy called my office and basically wanted to know if they could do a magazine shoot. There was a UCF girl who had her MBA and all that. And the only thing I asked is, ‘Is that a magazine that is distributed on campus?’ And they said, ‘Yes.’ They’ve done I think four, since I’ve been here at least four, initial copies of football [previews] opening up the football season.”
I’m not sure who’s more oblivious here–McLaughlin with the gun excuse or O’Leary’s “I didn’t know a half-naked hot chick was filming in the locker room”.
Obligatory pics of that shoot below.
