UH football point shaving 135x95 Point shaving at University of Hawaii? Police say no criminal investigation

The University of Hawaii football team is under some fire today as allegations of point shaving has surfaced. The Honolulu Police Department received an anonymous letter a few weeks back but thus far have been unable to pursue a criminal investigation.

The Honolulu Police Department became aware of the allegation in early November when UH officials gave a copy of an anonymous letter to the HPD. At this time there is not enough information to open a criminal investigation.” Unless the department receives additional information, it would not be able to continue with the criminal probe.

Having not seen a single Warriors game this year, I can’t speak with any knowledge on whether shenanigans were taking place. But in the past, many teams have questioned the officiating during games on “the Island.”

It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes of this or if the letter was just the works of an angry bettor.
