Raffi Torres’ goal with 18.5 seconds left gives Canucks Game 1 victory

After almost 60 minutes of scoreless play, Raffi Torres broke through the Bruins defense with 18.5 seconds left and put a shot past a sprawling Tim Thomas to give the Canucks a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup finals. Up until that point, the game had featured a myriad of scoring chances but both Thomas and his counterpart Roberto Luongo stood tall making 33 and 36 saves respectively.
