Ramblings of a mad man: Lions linebacker Zack Follett calls the media Satan
You probably don’t know who Zack Follett is, and frankly, after listening to some of his asinine ramblings on VIMEO, you’re probably better off.
The Lions linebacker took some heat yesterday when he went on a Fresno radio station and called starting quarterback Matthew Stafford a “china doll”.
“Stafford, good guy,” Follett said. “He’s a china doll right now. Anytime he gets hit, he goes down. But the kid is — hopefully, it’s just patiently waiting for him, because the kid is an awesome talent. He has a tremendous arm. The throws that he makes during practice when no one can touch him, he looks like an All-American quarterback, but put him in a game, and you hit his shoulder. So hopefully, say a couple prayers, keep him healthy next year, and the Lions can do some damage in the NFC.”
Of course, the quote didn’t go over too well with many Lions fans and media members who quickly came to Stafford’s defense. Specifically, Mlive beat writer Tom Kowalski called out Follett saying “at least he’ll be on a NFL roster” next season.
Ouch. Harsh but true huh Zack?
Follett responded to his detractors on his very active VIMEO account. In summary, it’s a mix between Pat Robertson and a drug fueled escapee from a mental hospital.
Instead of taking personal responsibility for his comments and/or standing up to his “china doll” comment, Follett just loses it. Calls the media “satan”, and quotes the Bible as if to say that there are those out there that are attacking his Christianity.
It’s a must-watch.
