Rashard Mendenhall expresses doubts about 9/11 on Twitter

Rashard Mendenhall is certainly entitled to his opinions on 9/11 and terrorism, it’s just that his opinions probably won’t be very popular given his timing and his place of employment. Mendenhall expressed his doubts about planes taking down the WTC on Twitter yesterday, saying:

We’ll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style

Wow–apparently during the lockout, Rashard has had time to acquire a tin foil hat and study structural engineering. Mendenhall didn’t stop there though, he talked about the death of Bin Laden and how people around America handled it.

What kind of person celebrates death? It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side…

I’m not sure I entirely understand his “one side” comment and if Mendenhall feels that strongly about an issue as sensitive as this, Twitter doesn’t really offer the proper outlet to explain yourself with 140 characters and all. As far as celebrating someone’s death–there seems to be a lot of mixed feelings the last 24 hours about cheerleaders and beach balls at the White House following the news of Bin Laden. I won’t go as far as saying I blame people for feeling somewhat joyous about the death of a man who is responsible for the deaths of at least 3,000 people, but yea, maybe back flips over a fire is not exactly an appropriate response. But Rashard doesn’t do himself any favors by preaching to the masses about God, and judging others, and in the same breath, talking about blowjobs. Just a guess here Mr. Mendenhall, but people inevitably won’t take you seriously when you mix the two together.
