Robert “Tractor” Traylor found dead in his apartment
Sad news out of Puerto Rico as Robert “Tractor” Traylor was found dead in his apartment in Isla Verde. Traylor, a former McDonald’s All-American and one of the best players to come out of the city of Detroit, went on to play his college ball at the University of Michigan. In 1998, he was drafted 6th overall by Dallas but was traded to the Bucks for a little known German prospect at the time named Dirk Nowitzki. Though Traylor stuck around the NBA for seven years, the trade is widely regarded as one of the most lopsided in league history.
He had spent the last few years playing overseas in Europe and most recently found success with the Puerto Rican team Bayamon Cowboys where he was selected as the 2010 Defensive Player of the Year for Baloncesto Superior Nacional.
