Rockies coach gets hit in face during BP; ESPN accidentally catches incident in background
Here’s Bobby Valentine giving an interview on ESPN last night…and here’s Rockies third base coach Rich Dauer getting drilled in the face in the background.
Dauer suffered a broken nose and was taken to the emergency room. According to the team website though, he did return to the clubhouse during the game and plans on traveling with them on the next road trip.
What a trooper.
By the way the person who threw that dart, Chris Nelson, yea, he should probably learn the words “heads up” or “hey, I’m throwing you the ball”. Either way, I think Dauer would appreciate if he acted with more urgency after beaning him. That leisurely stroll isn’t cutting it.
