Ron Artest to change name to “Metta World Peace”

The man largely responsible for the biggest player-fan brawl in the history of sports has turned over a new leaf. A more subdued and calm Ron Artest filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court to change his name to “Metta World Peace”.
Yes, this is real. He even plans to put “Peace” on the back of his shirt. The jokes will almost surely pile on from here but the best one I’ve heard thus far…
When Artest leaves the game, announcers will say “Peace out” (via The Stoney and Bill Show).
Jokes aside, you really have to hand it to Peace’s psychiatrist. The man was a borderline deranged psychotic. Now, just a few short years later, he’s winning the league’s citizenship award.
The wonders of modern medicine I tell ya.
