The longstanding Coke-Pepsi feud took center stage recently when former soccer star Ronaldinho showed up to a press conference promoting the wrong brand. His taste for the less sugary Pepsi apparently cost him $760k.

Ouch.

Safe to say the big wigs at Coke’s headquarters in Atlanta weren’t happy when they realised Pepsi was getting the advertising they paid for.

They quickly pulled the plug on the endorsement deal and now the Brazilian’s pockets are $760,000 lighter.

For a guy who’s well past his prime and who can’t find a regular soccer gig, this has to be quite disappointing. That kind of dough can go a long way with hookers. Especially the ones Ronaldinho is inevitably courting these days on his much slimmer payroll.
