SAM CASSELL IS STILL IN THE LEAGUE?

When this story showed up on ESPN, I was appalled…I thought Sam Cassell had retired after his faux showing last year in the playoffs. And really, anytime the following thing is said about you, the team is showing you the door.

Cassell hasn’t played a game for the Celtics this season, but he’s been an important veteran voice in the locker room.

Ha! Let me name off one “veteran” who was also considered an important voice in the locker room.

The venerable Michael Curry.

The man who couldn’t play a lick of basketball but somehow that genius Rick Carlisle thought he could start for your Detroit Pistons. A man who is right now so confused as to who he should play and who should start in the Pistons lineup. A man who I have yet to fully understand what the hell he is saying in his press conferences.

Yea, that guy.

So good luck Sam in your quest to become the next Michael Curry. You will surely need it when you are universally hated wherever you coach.
