Senators’ Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood get engaged

If there was any doubt as to whether Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood are engaged, I’m pretty sure that hockey puck sized ring on her finger is proof enough.

Ottawa Senators centre Mike Fisher confirmed Monday morning he is engaged to country music star Carrie Underwood.

Underwood, 26, and the Ottawa Senators forward have dated for more than a year after being introduced by one of her band members.

Surrounded by his family and friends, Fisher, 29, popped the question at his home Sunday afternoon before texting the good news to many of his close friends later in the day, according to a family friend.

And to think….Tony Romo, gave that up for Jessica “Chicken of the Sea” Simpson? Talk about bad decisions. Underwood is hotter, smarter and doesn’t wear mom jeans.

I’m still convinced that the mom jeans is what pushed Romo over the edge. I have no fashion sense whatsoever. I even wore a sweater to work yesterday that kept exposing my butt crack. And I can tell you that I’d never even think to wear those things.
